Yelp is introducing AI-generated short videos for restaurants and nightlife businesses, compiled from user-posted content. These videos, currently available nationwide on the iOS app's vertical home feed, are created using multiple generative AI tools. OpenAI LLMs write text descriptions, create story topics, and proofread scripts, while ElevenLabs generates the narrator's voice, and Amazon Transcribe creates subtitles. Business owners cannot currently view the generated videos, and users cannot opt-out of having their content included.
