Xbox has reportedly shelved "Blackbird," a promising sci-fi looter-shooter RPG from ZeniMax Online Studios, the developers behind The Elder Scrolls Online. According to a Bloomberg report, the game, which was intended to rival Destiny, impressed Xbox executives. Sources indicated that execs were "blown away" by the game's potential. Blackbird featured a unique alien noir setting and movement-based mechanics like double-jumping, air-dashing, a grappling hook, and wall climbing. Despite the positive reception, the project has been put on hold indefinitely, leaving fans disappointed about the loss of a potentially exciting new IP.
