Kenyan activist Boniface Mwangi and Ugandan activist Agather Atuhaire plan to sue the Tanzanian government, alleging illegal detention and torture during a May visit to support an opposition politician. The activists claim they were sexually assaulted while detained in Dar es Salaam. Atuhaire also alleges she was smeared with excrement.
