Virtuos, the studio behind The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered, is reportedly laying off approximately 7% of its workforce, impacting around 300 employees. According to reports, the majority of layoffs are concentrated in Virtuos' Chinese operations, with an estimated 200 positions being eliminated. The French team, instrumental in the Oblivion Remastered release, is also expected to be affected. Virtuos, which employs over 4,200 people globally, has provided support for numerous high-profile games, including recent work on Cyberpunk 2077 and contributions to the upcoming Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater remake.
