The US National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), responsible for nuclear weapons design and maintenance, was breached through a Microsoft SharePoint server vulnerability. According to Bloomberg, the attack exploited a zero-day flaw affecting on-premises SharePoint servers. While the breach impacted a small number of systems within the Energy Department, an unnamed source stated that no sensitive or classified information was compromised. Affected systems are currently being restored. The Department of Energy confirmed the incident, stating it began on July 18th.
