A legal battle is brewing between Krafton, publisher of Subnautica 2, and three former executives from developer Unknown Worlds. Ted Gill, Charlie Cleveland, and Max McGuire, who were terminated earlier this year, allege Krafton intentionally sabotaged the game's early access launch to avoid paying a $250 million earnout bonus. The lawsuit claims Krafton's actions have damaged fan anticipation and the game's potential. The earnout was promised to the executives and approximately 100 developers if Unknown Worlds met revenue targets by the end of 2025.
