Splitgate 2, the sequel to the popular 2021 shooter, is reverting to beta status just a month after its release. Developer 1047 Games cited a rushed launch as the reason for the rollback, with plans to revamp core aspects of the game and relaunch in 2026. The developers outlined plans to overhaul progression, map design, monetization, and game modes based on community feedback. Alongside the development shift, 1047 Games is also implementing job cuts. The company aims to recapture the essence of the original Splitgate with the revised version.
