Roblox is implementing a new age verification system for unfiltered chats. Users who want access to "Trusted Connections," a feature allowing unfiltered text chat and Party social interactions with select friends, must verify they are over 13. The age estimation tool requires users to submit a video selfie, which is analyzed using a dataset to estimate their age. If the system cannot confidently determine the user's age, access to Trusted Connections will be denied. Users also have the option to verify their age with a government ID.
