Sony has announced that PS5 sales have surpassed 80 million units as of June 30, 2025. The console has sold 2.5 million units in the first quarter of the current financial year, slightly down from the previous quarter's 2.8 million. However, this is still an increase of approximately 100,000 units compared to the same period in the last financial year. Reaching 80.3 million units, the PS5 is closing in on the lifetime sales of the Xbox 360 (84 million) and the PS3 (around 87 million). While the PS5's first-party exclusive lineup may not match its predecessor, its sales performance remains strong.
