Match Group, owner of Match.com, has reached a settlement with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) for $14 million. The settlement resolves a 2019 lawsuit in which the FTC accused Match of deceptive practices, including false advertising. As part of the agreement, Match will implement several changes, most notably making it easier for users to cancel their subscriptions. The FTC's initial complaint alleged that Match misled users about communications from potential matches and made cancellation unnecessarily difficult.
