Hashem Abedi, already serving a life sentence for his role in the 2017 Manchester Arena bombing, has been charged with multiple offenses stemming from an alleged attack on prison guards. The charges include three counts of attempted murder, as well as assault and assault occasioning actual bodily harm. Abedi is accused of attacking staff at HMP Frankland in May. The case is expected to add to his already lengthy prison term.
