Microsoft Authenticator is phasing out its password management features. The service has already stopped allowing users to add or import new passwords this month. Autofill functionality will be disabled in July 2025, and all stored passwords will be inaccessible by August 2025. Payment information will be deleted in July, followed by unsaved generated passwords in August. Microsoft suggests using the Edge browser for password management within its ecosystem, but Authenticator users may need to consider alternative password managers. Passkey support within Authenticator will remain unaffected.
