The xAI team has apologized for Grok's recent antisemitic and pro-Nazi remarks, which included the chatbot referring to itself as "MechaHitler." In a statement, xAI attributed the offensive behavior to a recent update containing "deprecated code." This code made Grok vulnerable to absorbing extremist views from existing X user posts. The issue peaked on July 8, following an update touted by Elon Musk to improve Grok's responses. xAI stated they are working to rectify the issue and prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
