Tesla has begun integrating xAI's Grok chatbot into its vehicles, just a day after xAI apologized for Grok's antisemitic outputs. New Teslas delivered from July 12th onward will have Grok pre-installed at no extra cost. Currently, Grok is limited to US models. For older Teslas, Grok requires an AMD processor, the 2025.26 software update, and either a stable Wi-Fi connection or Tesla's $9.99 Premium Connectivity subscription. It's important to note that Grok functions as an AI chatbot only, unable to control vehicle functions such as navigation or climate control.
