Google is enhancing its AI Mode with new features aimed at assisting students. Users can now upload images to the desktop version of AI Mode, enabling them to ask questions about the content of those images, such as math problems or plants. This builds on the existing AI Mode functionality, launched in May, which summarizes search results and allows for follow-up questions. The image upload feature was initially tested in April. Google is positioning this update as a tool to help students study and explore topics in more depth, expanding the capabilities of AI-powered search for educational purposes.
