The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals has upheld the original Epic v. Google antitrust ruling, confirming that Google's Play Store and payment systems constitute monopolies. This decision mandates Google to comply with the original lawsuit's remedies. These remedies include restrictions on paying phone manufacturers to pre-install the Play Store, a ban on requiring developers to use Google's payment systems, and the obligation to open Android to third-party app stores. Google must also allow third-party app stores to be downloaded from the Play Store and provide them with 'catalog access' to all apps currently available on the Play Store.
