DJI, a leading drone manufacturer, is leveraging its obstacle avoidance technology for a new line of robot vacuums called ROMO. The company's 'omnidirectional obstacle sensing' system, previously used in drones to prevent crashes, enables ROMO vacuums to navigate homes effectively, avoiding furniture and other obstacles with millimeter-level precision. This move represents DJI's expansion into the smart home market, building upon its existing product portfolio that includes drones, gimbals, action cameras, portable power stations, and e-bikes.
