The European Commission concluded an antitrust investigation into Corning's glass supply agreements, resulting in a deal to end exclusivity terms with OEMs. Apple, however, was exempted from this deal. The EU determined that products designed exclusively for Apple fall outside the scope of the market affected by Corning's exclusivity arrangements, allowing Apple to continue its unique supply chain relationship.
