Apple reports that tariffs imposed during Donald Trump's presidency are adding significantly to its costs. CEO Tim Cook stated that these duties could cost the company an additional $1.1 billion in the upcoming September quarter. Apple already absorbed approximately $800 million in tariff-related expenses during the June quarter, slightly less than the previously projected $900 million. The majority of these tariffs stem from the IEEPA tariffs linked to products from China. Apple's devices, primarily manufactured in China, India, and Vietnam, have been affected. Cook noted that most iPhones sold in the US are now made in India, while Macs, iPads, and Apple Watches largely originate from Vietnam.
