According to Bloomberg, a team called "Answers, Knowledge and Information" was formed earlier this year to create a "stripped-down rival to ChatGPT." This marks a shift from Apple's previous strategy of partnering with OpenAI to integrate ChatGPT into Siri. The new in-house AI service aims to provide a ChatGPT-like search experience by crawling the web to answer questions.
