Apple is reportedly planning to release a significantly upgraded version of Siri in the spring. According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, the enhanced Siri will leverage the new App Intents feature to perform more complex tasks within apps. This includes actions like commenting on Instagram posts, adding items to shopping carts, and editing and sharing photos directly from within apps. Apple is currently testing App Intents with both its own and third-party apps, including AllTrails, Amazon, Facebook, Threads, Temu, Uber, WhatsApp, and YouTube, aiming to deliver on promises of a more capable and integrated Siri experience.
